Name: Carlie Bell
Job title: Sales Team Leader
Length of Service: 6 months

Tell us a little about your background – what did you do before joining The Cotswold Company?

Before joining The Cotswold Company I was the Store Manager at the Lincoln White Stuff Store. I have worked in Retail Management for the past 9 years, mainly within the clothing industry. During my career I have worked for international companies as well as independent boutiques but feel like The Cotswold Company has all of the benefits of working for a large company whilst still feeling like I am part of a family so is the perfect mix.

Why did you choose The Cotswold Company as an employer?

I have always loved interior design after completing a degree in Architecture so have been an admirer of The Cotswold Company for many years. After my maternity leave was coming to an end I looked on the website and was lucky enough to find a position being advertised for a Sales and Post Order Senior Advisor.

What does a typical working day for you involve? What do you enjoy most about your job?

A large part of my day is taken up with generating reports to look at the performance of the sales team and to se where the opportunities lie for training and coaching sessions to improve their sales statistics. I absolutely love this side of the job as I find it really satisfying looking at the effects my training sessions have had on my team’s performance. Since we all work remotely I really enjoy coaching sessions with the Sales Advisors as it is a really nice time to be able to interact with them and get to know them better to still create a caring team atmosphere even though we are working from home.

What’s been your proudest moment working for the Cotswold Company to date?

My proudest moment would definitely be being promoted to Sales Team Leader just six weeks after joining the company. Since it was a new position to the company it was really exciting to be the first Sales Team Leader and really get stuck into the role by using all of my sales management experience from previous jobs.

What is your favourite furniture item, range or home accessory, and why?

This is an easy one, it would definitely be the Westcote Inky Blue Triple Larder. I have had my eye on it for a very long time but unfortunately my kitchen is much too small for one at the moment!

Please tell us something personal that you don’t mind us sharing; e.g. family, animals, hobbies etc., that helps to introduce you!

I have recently become a Mum for the first time to a little boy called Isaac. He has brought so much love and happiness into my life and I am already so proud of him even though he has only just turned one.
