An interview with new Harrogate Store Manager, Jane Bradbourne

The new store has now been open for several weeks; how do you feel the launch has gone so far? How have your new team adapted?

The first couple of weeks have been really good, and it has been incredible the amount of promotional activity and events that have been arranged for us to create footfall. It has all been incredibly smooth with my team. Even on our busiest days there have been no problems or issues which makes me incredibly proud and pleased! We have bonded well as a team and work incredibly well together.

During your short time working here, how would you describe what it’s like to work at The Cotswold Company? Why do you like working here?

I have been made welcome from day one by every staff member. I have had unbelievable support and the investment in myself and my training is something I am not used to. Every person in upper management has been friendly and approachable and I have been made to feel like a valued member of the Cotswold Co team from the beginning.  I really appreciate the fact that my line manager is supportive and approachable, again something I am not used to. I know I will be able to get development from too. Of course, the products are beautiful, and my store is something I am incredibly proud to work in every day.

What have people’s responses been to the new Harrogate store when they visit?

We have had nothing but positivity from customers who are delighted that we are here. They love the store and I think the success so far proves this. Stray FM were in-store recently and they had lots of customer endorsements live on air which was fabulous!
